I read over the article about K. Harris’s prospective tax plan. What is the subject of (that is right, subject of) this purported plan? Is the ‘subject of’ this tax plan 1) people, 2) property, or 3) events, incidents, and occasions? Is the ‘subject of’ this Harris-hoping-for tax actually ‘a company’s income’? If so, does a company’s income, or an individual’s, fall into the category of 1) people, 2) property, or 3) events, incidents, and occasions? If you believe that the income is the ‘subject of’ a federal-level-revenue tax, the U.S. Constitution, at Article I, Section 2, Clause 3 and at Article I, Section 9, Clause 4, requires that such a tax has to be apportioned among the states according to their populations. Without apportionment, such a prospective tax if enacted would run afoul of the two above-cited sections. The U. S. Supreme Court has ruled regarding the kind of tax such a tax is. Read the following U. S. Supreme Court cases: Pollock v. Farmers Home Loan & Trust, Flint v. Stone Tracy Co., Brushaber v. Union Pacific R. R. Co., Stanton v. Baltic Mining Co.
Now, let’s go on the premise that Harris’s proposed tax is imposed upon events, incidents, and occasions. Also, let’s presume that a small company which was valued at $10,000,000.00 is now valued at $15,000.000.00. The company also has had insufficient sales to raise its value to $15,000,000.00. What is the ‘subject of’ this proposed tax? What, if any, events, incidents, occasions, took place to cause such a tax to kick in?
Since Bernie Sanders, K Harris & her running mate are all multi-millionaires why not take all their money away & force them to live on their govt salary. That way they might learn how difficult it is for the average American to survive day to day. Bernie & Harris want to take all our money away by taxes so let’s see how they survive with just a govt salary!
