Pragmatists initiate a program and, if it isn’t working, alter it to correct its deficits. Determinists initiate a policy with the certainty that it must work as projected, and when it doesn’t, given their certainty that the policy is not at fault, intensify its application – i.e. throw more money at it. That’s why Kerry opposes the First Amendment (and the Constitution in general, because it limits what government can do), that’s why Progressives want to centralize all power in D.C. The Progressives are Determinists. Utopians. They are model Fascists. Their border policy is a prime example; disastrous results don’t deter them.

Whenever the politicians are trying to make changes to the Constitution it is to give them more power and you less. They have long since forgotten that they work for you, you don’t work for them.
