I remember 1978, I believe? President Jimmy Carter invoked price controls on the price at the gas pump. There was a time limit of 90 days or 6 months. When this time period ended, the price at the pump nearly doubled.
I remember seeing gas at $4.50 under Obama and $4 a gallon under Biden. I’m currently paying $2.75, so would that mean if we had a price freeze, the price would jump to around $5.50 a gallon overnite? It was $1.70 a gallon on Election Day 2020!
