I couldn`t afford to get a College education so why would I have to pay for someone else to have one ?? No way !!!
Exactly!!!! Especially when they take courses with no real marketable value or for a flooded job market. I would have been ok if they lowered or waived the intrest on the loan and I think that most if not all citizens would be on board with it as well
Why couldn’t you afford it? You could get loans to pay for it like millions of others have. The way I see it, if the country can send billions of dollars to Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Iraq to kill people, then they should be able to bail out a few struggling students that can hardly even put food on the table. I guess the days of trying to help your fellow Americans and neighbors are gone.
ME AND MY WIFE WORKED ALOT OF EXTRA JOBS AND HOURS TO GET OUR THREE CHILDREN THROUGH COLLEGE SO THEY WOULD NOT BE STUCK WITH STUDENT LOAN. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMEONE ELSE LOAN. THEY CAN GET OUT AND WORK TO GET IT OR PAY THE LOAN BACK. I SERVED IN MILITARY IN VIET NAM TIME AND PROUD OF MY NAVY TIME BUT ALSO WAS ABLE TO GO TO COLLEGE UNDER GI BILL WHEN I GOT OUT. NOTHING WAS GIVEN TO US, WE EARNED IT AND EVERYONE ELSE CAN DO.WHY IS BIDEN AND HARRIS ALLOWED TO DO THIS WITHOUT CONGRESS APPROVAL IN WHICH THEY KNOW THEY CAN NOT JUST BUYING VOTES WITH TAXPAYER MONIES. THEY SHOULD BE FACING CHARGES.

I couldn’t afford to send My kids to college, why the hell would I pay for someone else’s kid to go to college? They took out the student loans, they should be responsible for paying them, NOT US! If we take out a loan, we have to pay it back, we don’t get our loans forgiven, why should they? If they are too irresponsible to pay them off, they shouldn’t expect us to do it for them! Bieng an adult means being responsible for your own debts! Student loan forgiveness? I say HELL NO! Pay your own bills, like we all have to do! Plus, they’re being out on campus protesting for the Palestinians should get them kicked out! If they can do that, they can get a job and pay their own damned bills!

I couldn’t afford to go to college when I was just starting out in the adult world. I started working during the Silicon Valley Boom days from entry level and working my way up. Unlike DEI employment now, one could actually get a job based on merit. The kids today have been indoctrinated in our public schools to believe that you didn’t have to actually work, that they are entitled. Then you get an idiot-in-chief in office along with his meritless VP (who Biden admitted that Kamala was a DEI hire) and they promise the free tuition at the taxpayers expense. Thank you, Supreme Court for once again knocking this atrocity down! The audacity of the leftists is incomprehensible! You know that each and every one of these imbeciles in Congress trying to pass this bill have no intention of being one of the taxpayers themselves. “Good for thee but not for me”. I struggle with the cost of living increases thanks to our current admin. and I’ll be damned if I’m going to pay for these privileged young adults. They need to be humbled and realize they’ve been lied to during their “learning” experience. The world does not owe them a single thing. They need to earn it and work for a living. Some might even feel better about themselves afterwards.
Yeah, try starting out now that way from scratch and see how far you move up. Things are not the way they use to be. Question: If we (the United Sates) can send billions of dollars over seas to fight wars in Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Iraq to kill people; then why is there a problem with trying to help our own citizens and neighbors who are struggling with student aid? Who paid for these wars? Did you pay them too?

Let the Colleges and Universities foot the bill for student loans out of their endowments. We should repeal Obama’s treachery on the taxpayers. I don’t understand why kids today are granted a free pass to higher education, especially the silver spoon crowd attending Ivy League schools. Give the working class Americans a break.
