A foreign country took military action after Donald Trump made this bold promise
Donald Trump is already making waves and he hasn’t taken office. The end of weak leadership in the White House is ruffling feathers. And a foreign country took military action after Donald Trump made this [...]
President elect should think about stronger relationships than control of a sovereign nation. I believe that Greenland is capable to make national decisions that serve the interest of their nation and the free world.
Is Trump going to his own money to buy all the things he wants? Leave taxpayers money alone, sounds like he wants to push us farther in dept.
Help Elon
I have often wondered, why call it Greenland. A better name would be frozen waste land. Hee hee😵💫
Pres.Elect Trump should make a deal with other countries that if they did decide to sell, they would offer it to the U.S.A. first and guarantee the US would pay more than anyone else. The U.S.A. cannot just “take” any other country or they would be just like Russia and Ukraine.
Re the post by James Page: Greenland is not a Sovereign Nation, but an autonomous region of Denmark, which is why Trump is seeking purchase from Denmark and not Greenland itself. Regionalities in the Western Hemisphere do not always fare well if their ruling country is in the Eastern Hemisphere. St Maarten/Martin is a prime example where the Southern, Netherlands-controlled, region received much needed aid after Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc to the island. France, the ruling country for the Northern Section of the Island, however, did very little. The US would be more prompt than Denmark in responding to any natural or foreign catastrophes occurring in Greenland. But I would not recommend making it a part of Alaska as opposed to including it as a separate state. It could be incorporated with any unhappy Canadiennes wishing to flee Trudeua’s idiocy. And I agree with Robert Barnett that the US cannot just simply ‘reclaim sovereign rights’ freely given to any foreign country, i.e. the Panama Canal. Negotiations have to be conducted, proposals offered and compromises, as well as agreements, made in order to legally acquire any lands owned by a foreign country.
