If we don’t come to the realization that Wash is broken, and that both sides have enthusiastically helped in getting it to this point, we are just ‘rearranging the chairs’ on the deck of a ship destined to sink if we don’t change course.. sooner rather than later… Neither side could have accomplished this if the other would have stepped up and been honest with the folks (they’re supposed to represent) about the corruption that has spread like wildfire (and turned Wash into the cesspool it has clearly become). Yes, obozo was instrumental in taking us down this path.. but mcconnell, graham, cheney, and a bunch of establishment worshipping politicians (from both sides) have stood there and nervously let him/them get away with it. Any of them could have ‘shut down’ things until some kind of honesty and accountability (to folks outside of the beltway).
