Unfortunately, they don’t see him as “the gift that keeps on giving,” but as “the giver of all gifts to those deserving of them.” Until these empty-headed people are able to see the Left for what they really are, they’re a danger to our country because, like most liberals, they’re uneducated about our country and its Constitution, but are still allowed to vote.

You latch onto their rhetoric as though it was truth and believe that you’re still trapped in slavery? If you BELIEVE that, you ARE–and your slave owners are STILL Democrats, just as they were back then and long before. You just don’t realize it, because they have you duped into thinking they have your best interests at heart! They’re still race-baiting, but you’re the ones taking the bait. Stop playing the victim, raise yourself up by your bootstraps, and make up your mind to see yourself as good as the next person instead of seeing every white person as the enemy. You can think for yourself and do as well as anyone else. Be grateful things aren’t like they used to be. I realize there are some in the south–particularly Democrats–who are still racist, but that doesn’t mean everyone with white skin is. I’m white, and I had friends in school, as well as coworkers I worked with later on, who were black. I’m NOT the enemy, so stop regarding all whites as if they are. If you think you can’t be a conservative because people like Joe Biden tell you that “if you vote conservative, you ain’t black,” you don’t see that what he’s really saying is “You don’t have the right to make your own decisions; you have to be TOLD what to think.” He also made the mistake of basically saying “all poor people are black,” when he said, “Poor people are as smart as white people.” I’m white, and I grew up among the poorest of America’s poor, and there are many more poor whites like me. I was made fun of, left out of things those with money were included in, and had to work to buy my own school clothes and school supplies. Be your own person, and let others do likewise. You’re no better nor any worse than anyone else.
Either answer could be correct. If he continues to speak it only shows his detachment from reality and could further damage the Democratic image. On the other hand if he doesn’t the public will be relieved to no longer hear the lies he constantly espouses.

Growing up in the South (Mostly in Norfolk VA) I stil remember the delayed school openings in 1958. Norfolk had 3 all white high schools Granby, Maury and Norview, each had a junior high affiliated with them Northside for Granby, Blair for Maury and Norview for Norview. The elenentary schools had been running split schedules for grades 1 – 3 but as the “baby boomers” (my generation) aged to 11 – 12 years the realization of needing a change occured. Willard elementary was chosen as it was pretty central to all 3 white high schools to be converted to a junior high. The massive resistance the city of Norfolk decided on meant no white schools would be opened if any black children had applied there. Since Willard was to become a junior high, there were only grades 6 – 8 in 1958, Wiliard’s 5th graders stayed as 6th graders for the 1958 – 59 school year. That year we were the only school in Norfolk open in the first semester, just late and had Saturday classes. At the end of my 9th grade year I was transferred to Norview High as I lived in Norview. That as where I met my first black student, the late Andrew (Andy) Heidelburg. He was a senior, I was a sophomore, and he came to my first period class looking for Audio-Visual techs or Library Assistants, the former sounded good to me, so I raised my hand. On the way to the library, Andy stuck his hand ot to shake mine and introduced himself. Having been raised in a relitively open-minded environment, I shook his hand. We became pretty good friends and my parents asked if he could come to dinner some time, he did so twice. He became the first friend I had in High School.
